I have abstracted baptisms from Record Books I and II of St. John’s Lutheran Church, which includes both Knox Township, Holmes County, Ohio and Jelloway, Knox County, Ohio.  Records cover the period 1837 - 1915, though there are some significant gaps in the microfilmed records from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.   Unfortunately, some of the records are also  illegible on the microfilm.  At some point, I hope to be able to see the original record books - hopefully these illegible records will be clearer than they were on the microfilm, and I will be able to determine the individuals involved in those records.

The St. John's baptism abstracts book should also be available at county libraries in Holmes, Knox, Wayne, and Ashland counties; as well as the Loudonville library and the respective county chapters of the Ohio Genealogical Society.
